Shadow rules¶
- Shadows are introduced to the team; not anonymous lurkers
- Hands on gear only with operator OK
- Ask questions between songs, not during quiet pastoral moments
- Confidentiality: what you hear in prayer/team talk stays in the team — except where the church’s reporting obligations apply (Safety & Protection)
Training progression (tech example)¶
- Observe full service
- Run checklist with coach
- Own a segment (e.g. wireless batteries + labeling)
- Own role with coach on coms
- Qualified for solo serve — shadow steps complete and the Tech Lead signs the onboarding checklist
Band progression¶
- Rehearsal sit-in
- Partial set
- Full set with simple arrangements
- Qualified — Worship Lead signs the onboarding checklist; normal rotation
