01 — Roles¶
Role charters define ownership, not every micro-task. Detailed SOPs live in other folders.
| Role | In one line |
|---|---|
| Director | Owns the ministry under the pastor; appoints the team leads; accountable for the congregation’s worship |
| Worship Lead | Owns how it is played — keys, forms, charts, rehearsal |
| Song Selector | Chooses what we sing and why; hands the set to the Worship Lead |
| Vocalist | Leads congregational melody with blend and presence |
| Band musician | Rhythmic and harmonic foundation that serves the song |
| Tech Lead | Owns production standards and tech roster health |
| FOH Engineer | The congregation’s mix — lead vocal and lyric first |
| Monitor Engineer | What the stage hears, without wrecking stage volume |
| Media / Lyrics | Right words on the right screens at the right time |
| Lighting | Focus and mood without distraction |
| Stream / Broadcast | A stable, clear online service |
| Stage / Logistics | A safe, ready platform — plots, cables, spares |
Notes:
- One person may hold multiple roles on a given week (e.g. Song Selector + Worship Lead). When that happens, they still own each charter’s must-dos — or explicitly hand off pieces in the plan.
- Hats, not charters (see Definitions): Platform lead — the person on the mic whom band and media watch during the set (usually the Worship Lead; named on the service plan). Service Planner — order of service beyond the set (usually Director or Worship Lead). Section lead — experienced player/tech who coaches a slice of the team and is the first stop for questions.
